OPEN SALES ORDER

Inside of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, navigate to open Sales Orders. Go to Sales Order and select Payments.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Sales Order Authorize Credit Card

AUTHORIZE

Your default credit card on the customer record will default with the option to select a different one. Once, the card is selected, hit Authorize at the top of the Sales Order. We do have the ability to authorize multiple credit cards.

CAPTURE

Upon posting the Invoice, the credit card capture will happen automatically and your payment journal will post. The amount that is captured on the Credit Card is the actual Sales Invoice amount. This could have changed since the original authorization if the user added freight or adjusted quantities and pricing on the Sales Order.
